As a Motion Graphics Designer/Animator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a range of high-quality motion graphics/animation projects from abstract motion graphics to motion typography to character animation. You will collaborate with in-house Producer and production teams, along with Design Director and other fellow creatives on a daily basis.
The role requires someone who is skilled in design and has a strong conceptual flair. You should be able to work independently as well as part of a team to explore briefs, generate ideas, and produce projects in a constructive and positive way. You will be involved in developing ideas and concepts, and progressing these creatives into fully fledges motion graphic video content for live projects and business pitches.
You should have a good sense of visual timing, narrative/storytelling, and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously. We are looking for someone who has solid organizational skills and a willingness to keep their projects tidy. Likewise, the ideal candidate should have the maturity and experience to manage freelance MGFX/animation artists where required. Additionally, you should be able to advise on the latest developments in the motion graphics/animation sector, be aware of trends and all that jazz.
Skills and Background required.
- Ideally a minimum of 5 years experience (though we consider all levels for this role!) as Motion Graphic Designer within a motion design agency environment.
- Hands on knowledge on motion design and animation workflows, from conception to completion.
- Ability to conceptualize and design styleframes, illustrate, design boards, animation, and art direct your ideas.
- Expert level skills in After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop
- Intermediate level skills in Premiere-Pro, toon boom or procreate (or similar)
- Basic level experience in cinema 4d (or Maya)

- Ingest footage & organise into premiere projects. Ingesting all information & film link into set document structure, and marking any missing information or issues with submission
- Building social media assets for cross platforms
- Compressing and converting files
- Preliminary edit for review & continuation by senior editor. This might include trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film, Input music, dialogues, graphics and / or effects, research, creating rough and final cuts, ensuring highest quality of product, no glitches or errors at project stage, export stage and upload stage.

You should be comfortable working with clients and expressing your thoughts professionally, have a stern eye for detail, excellent communication skills and technical knowledge and also have relevant experience in a commercial/TV post environment…ideally with some experience in fashion and/or beauty. Role involves;
- Create high quality digital composites and visual effects for feature films and commercials.
- Completing mark-ups, and execution of some skin/product work

- Strong sense of colour, colour-space and attention to detail.

A great opportunity for a motion designer who seeks a creative teal to collaborate with, yet have freedom to generate motion concepts and designs, and slick animations across all studio work. Responsibilities:
Day-to-day
- Work with Producers to explore briefs in a constructive/positive way.
- Produce compelling ideas and written/visual proposals either in response to client briefs or as part of the wider client development activity.
- Give confident and convincing presentations of proposals either remotely or in person.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the creative process across a number of projects at once
- Lead the creative department and line manage the in-house team, providing encouragement and support to build a strong team ethos.
Leadership
- Identify opportunities to push the creative development of projects, taking clients to new places.
- Drive and improve the wider creative output of the business.
- Stay abreast of current thinking and trends and provide guidance and inspiration for the whole team as well as to clients with a particular focus on social channels.
- Work with the Founder to develop and present their ‘Smart & Social’ thought leadership webinars and in-person client sessions.
- Develop the in-house creative team with oversight of personal and professional development, and work closely with the Producers to manage internal creative resourcing.
In a nutshell this is a role that will suit someone with lots of experience, who is happy managing teams, being more hands on or off.
Suitable candidates MUST have experience working on film and animatio. As a Director the right candidate will have writing experience, or, have experience overseeing creative development, writing and concepting.

Responsibility includes;
- Collaborate with project managers, motion designers, 2d animators, 3D Generalists and retouchers working with direct-to-brand and agency projects.
- Local business travel to meet clients for meetings and when needed to work at their premises for short stints.
- Responsible for the creation and oversight of high-level 3D motion generalist tasks, specifically 3d modelling, rendering, lighting, texturing and 3d animation.
- Work with varying digital and motion formats, analyse briefs and lead large projects from initial brief through to delivery.
- Work with project managers to assess new briefs and put together costs and timings

They are a business known to tackle predominantly creative projects, and less corporate. They produce extremely well thought out and creative moving image content, with a scope that can range from 2+3d animation, vfx, live action, music videos, commercials or film titles, amongst others.
Currently on the lookout for a Senior 3D Motion Designer to join their expanding team. The ideal candidates will have, most importantly a slick and well constricted showreel. The content and craft displayed on your showreel are really important to this employer.
Primary skills and experience sought:
- Experience leading projects, pitches and treatments as a Senior Motion Designer
- Ideally at least 6 years’ experience, although we are open to more or less years
