Hybrid 3D Motion DesignerMoving Image & Film / Ref: CC1615
Attention: Hybrid role incoming
Are you a 3D Generalist with interest and skills in Art Direction?
Our client is a great creative studio specialising in CGI , film and 3D motion design, working for some of the world’s leading brands and agencies.
Currently on the hunt for an amazingly talented 3D generalist, someone that has an aptitude for art direction but isn’t an established AD yet! Someone with some experience, transitioning and blooming in a grey area.
The right person might be a heavy midweight, with experience and a good varied skillset; but definitely someone that is also able to act as a creative lead on some projects
The right person should be able to cover the usual general skills of modelling, lighting, texturing and rendering, as well as post-production skills such as tracking, match moving and compositing.
Notwithstanding because of the nature of this role we’re also looking for someone who has impeccable taste, design skills and keeps aware of what’s happening in the world of motion graphics now, able to think outside the box and contribute with creative input.
Apart from your amazing design and animation skills + sense of art direction, you will have the capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a genuine passion, drive and energy to create outstanding motion design work.
You’ll be able to work collaboratively with other motion designers in the studio, while being able to generate ideas and write pitches / treatments, create style frames and even some final animations (you can be hands off, in which case you should be happy to jump in to help on any task that is needed when required). For this, the right person is self-motivated, organised and work well as part of a team at any stage but also able to power through a project without needing constant guidance.
A genuine passion for motion design and creative culture as well as a good technical understanding of the software and hardware systems will be helping you throughout but will be good if you are someone keen to explore new and emerging techniques.
You’ll have recent visual references for all the skills listed, either on your showreel or portfolio.
In a nutshell, you’ll be creating amazing content on a fast-paced environment, providing your creative input and working towards a common goal, while having:
- A great design eye and love of motion design
- Interest and ability to Art Direct, generate ideas and lead projects
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Cinema4D, After Effects, Redshift and / or Octane
- Bonus for any Houdini, Nuke, skills
This is a freelance job, on-site, based in London paying up to £330 per day DOE
